The energy of today is about needs and boundaries.
Nauthiz has appeared as my personal daily rune for the past three days, and it appears today for you.
Last night while driving home from a small gathering at a friend's house I saw a car pulled off the road with its hazard lights flashing. I decided to stop and make sure the driver was safe. He was on his way to Rochester, two hours away, and his car was out of gas. He was clearly distressed about his situation, and all I could offer in the moment was words of encouragement.
That feeling of wanting to help more but being unable, that burning, crackling sensation in my heart—
—that feeling is Nauthiz.
He needed something which I did not have, and that did not feel pleasant for me, as I wished I could have given it to him. This is also about boundaries, because I was not in the position to drive him anywhere else either.
Nauthiz brings this very important message to you, dear Traveler:
What do you need?
What do you really need. This is not about wants or would-be-nice-to-haves. This is about true needs.
Sometimes what you need is clear and physical, like gas for your car to make the long journey home.
Other times what you need could be more subtle: personal space, deep rest, or time with friends.
Contemplate this, and do your best to fulfill your needs.
