Laguz (ᛚ) Wisdom for Today

Sometimes, a clear image or story appears as I read the Runes in relation to those cast before. Very much in accord with the intuitive flow of Laguz, this story has appeared:

The Traveler is blessed with inspiration (Kenaz) for a new adventure (Raidho), and the Path is clearly guided by the lights of those who have traveled it before (Kenaz).

However, not far into this journey, an icy wall (Isa) rises to block the way. Frozen, the Traveler is left to contemplate the Path, leaving room for self-doubt about the inspiration for this journey.

"Did I make the right choice? Have I been a fool? Perhaps I should never have left the comforts of the life I have known for so long..."

In the coldest hour, when but a snowflake of hope remains, something marvelous appears in the sky above: the Sun (Dagaz). So absorbed in doubt, the Traveler had not noticed how clouded the skies had become. No wonder the shadows had grown so dark!

But now, the warm radiance of the Sun is shining brightly through the ice, casting rainbows of light before the Traveler, filling the eyes with new colors and perspectives of self, and of the Path.

Hope and faith are restored and renewed, once again. And as the Sun's light continues to shine, the icy wall (Isa) begins to melt. Streams of water (Laguz) trickling this way and that, but one in particular catches the rainbow light like no other.

The Traveler, filled with faith and new hope, chooses to follow this stream. It leads to a hole at the base of the ice wall, just big enough to crawl through.

And so, knowing that the only way along the Path is onward...

... the Traveler enters the portal.
