Isa (ᛁ) Wisdom for Today

Following Raidho and the beginning of a new chapter in the Traveler's story, Isa arrives to bring the energy of patience and rest. In the wake of the old, the new crests above the horizon, and there is no rush.

The Light

In its light, Isa is a cool stillness which invites the Traveler to pause along the journey. Like Berkano, Isa offers a moment of rest. This rest, however, is a much deeper stillness. A deep sleep, and a retreat from the motions of the external world.

The Shadow

In its shadow, the momentum of the journey until now continues to stir the mind of the Traveler. When Isa arrives, the ego rejects the idea and offer of rest, thinking that more movement is necessary. This friction creates discomfort for the Traveler, and the moment of deep rest being offered is rejected, and missed.

As One

Sometimes Isa appears as a wall of ice which blocks the Path, forcing a moment of contemplation.

Other times, Isa appears more quietly, a tiny quiver of stillness in the spirit, inviting you to retreat within.

Heed that call, for not all lessons are learned through experiences in the external world.

As much as you can, dear Traveler, give yourself moments of stillness and solitude.

Call back your dispersed energies and reconnect with who you are without any distractions or extraneous relationships.

Gather all of your power, for the journey ahead will ask more of you soon.
