Reveal the Secret Rune (Empty Rune)

In many modern rune sets, in addition to the twenty-four traditional runes, a single blank rune is included.

I'll be honest:

I forgot that my shiny new silver set has a blank!

And it showed up today, after all this time.

You can find different interpretations for the Blank, or "Empty" rune. Some say it is most akin to Perthro (ᛈ), the rune of mystery, destiny, and magic.

My interpretation?

No interpretation at all.

A bit unsettling, eh? Good! Divination is all about making oneself at home in The Great Mystery and becoming comfortable in the discomfort of uncertainty. Quite ironic, seeing as we typically use oracles to get answers.

But in order to get accurate answers and guidance, one must truly cozy up in the unfathomable depths of the Unknown.

So instead of attempting to read a literally blank rune, I am writing a different kind of post, and I think I will do so from now on whenever the Empty rune appears.

The timing of this is, as usual, impeccable and magical, because I do have something new to share which I implemented just yesterday:

Yesterday, I cast two runes.

One of which, Laguz (ᛚ), you read.

And the other, you most likely did not.

As fate would have it, that rune was—and don't follow this link just yet, keep reading first—Perthro (ᛈ).

Two weeks ago I decided to make The Daily Rune completely free and public. Anyone can access all of the readings on the website, and simply an email address is needed to receive The Daily Rune by email.

More recently, I cast some runes for myself and for the spirit of The Daily Rune to ask how this creation wants to grow and evolve. The answer was clear:

Offer an additional daily rune!

Yesterday, the very first of these "bonus runes" was Perthro (ᛈ). As you will learn, this was very fitting for the unveiling of the change.

Now, after thirteen years of working with them, I have come to trust the Runes with my destiny.

Yes, my destiny.

It's a big deal.

So when I consult them sincerely about something in my life, no matter how big or small, I heed their guidance.

The Runes were very clear that The Daily Rune should have an option to pay for additional offerings. Hence, the second daily rune.

With this additional rune, I am able to provide a more comprehensive reading and deeper guidance for your day. Plus, if you are at all interested in learning the Runes yourself, you will have double the rune readings to learn from.

It just so happens that the first daily rune for today is the Empty rune, which is why you are reading this post instead of a rune reading. So don't blame me. The Runes made me do it.
